Joi McCreary is a dynamic force of resilience, creativity, and compassion, dedicated to empowering others and fostering growth in both personal and professional spaces. As a multi-passionate, pre-licensed Couples, Marriage, and Family Therapy (CMFT) Resident Therapist, Health and Sex Educator, and Capacity Building Consultant whose work is rooted in helping people navigate life’s complexities with intention and purpose. As the Founder and CEO of JoiOlogy 5155, Joi is dedicated and her work centers on creating safe, healing spaces to empower adult individuals, couples, and groups to redefine adverse perceptions, reduce stress, improve boundaries, and discover their optimal functioning. Her mission is to help people explore the connections, relationships, and practices that bring them joy while committing to change, even when the path ahead feels uncertain or unclear.
 
With a passion for serving BIPOC and QTIBIPOC communities, Joi creates protected, non-judgmental, and healing spaces that foster growth and transformation. Her work includes therapy, capacity-building consulting, and the development of resources and tools that support holistic wellness, mental health, leadership, and the exploration of gender, sexuality, and intimacy. Joi is equally dedicated to training and developing other professionals to implement transformational change in their own practices. She believes in bridging gaps, taking up space, and building collaborative pathways for success, ensuring that every person and professional she works with feels empowered to reach their goals.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Joi’s professional journey is as multidimensional as her passions. Drawing on her diverse experience across entrepreneurship, clinical care, academia, leadership, management, and ministry, Joi has held roles such as Project Manager, Associate Clinic Director, Behavior Consultant, Author, Publisher, Yoga Instructor, and Licensed Cosmetologist. Joi’s work is infused with empathy, authenticity, and innovation. These diverse accomplishments, combined with life’s lessons, have uniquely positioned her to help others develop healthy practices that serve them well in all areas of life. Joi’s mission is clear: to empower others by building capacity, creating opportunities, and holding space for healing and growth.
 
Joi’s life is also deeply grounded in love and connection. Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply inspired by the love and support of her family, which fuels her ability to pour compassion and care into her clients, colleagues, and community. A proud wife of over 20 years and mother to two remarkable adult children, Joi attributes much of her strength to the unwavering support of her family. Her village of loved ones has been a constant source of inspiration, enabling her to maintain a functional work-life balance and pour love into her clients, colleagues, and community. Joi’s journey is a celebration of individuality, authenticity, and joy—an ongoing testament to the beauty of thriving while empowering others to do the same. Joi’s commitment to intentionality, healing, and joy serves as a guiding light for all those she partners with on their journey toward growth and discovery.
